The folks are up visiting from Texas this weekend. They were in Dallas checking out another college option for dear SIL, and were too close not to come up and hang with the grandkids.

Dear FIL had recently been on a business trip in China and brought us back some goodies. I got a cashmere scarf and a teapot with draggies on it! Yay!

Site was down for a bit today, but here I am with a Friday Snapshot.

Pictured here is something amazing. Not only is Jamie drinking from a straw, but she is drinking something that’s NOT ORANGE JUICE! (milkshake. from Red Robin. mmmm.)

Not much going on here that is blog-worthy blog-ready. I’ve got some things in the works that are occupying my mind time that hopefully I will be able to share soon :)

All wit has gone from my mind at the moment. So crafty progress day will have to consist of me saying that:

1. I finished these things.

I have to say that with the Olympic Knitting done, I am feeling quite lost. I mean, I could knit on something else but… meh. And while I’m sure some people are glad that the Olympic pictures have ceased, I don’t know what to write. Immersed in my knitting, I simply didn’t even think about it.

I’m overwhelmed too. I do have a long list of things I sorta kinda want to knit. I want to work on my Fortunate Traveler. And 3 weeks worth of neglected art journal prompts. I have 7.6 bazillion books I want to read and I have a few things I want to research. So yeah. Where to start?

I probably won’t figure it out sitting here and blinking infrequently like I did yesterday.

Now, to block or not to block?

We’re in the home stretch.

You know, the Clapotis is pretty difficult to explain to people that haven’t come across the pattern before. “Well, it’s this scarf/shawl,wrap thing… Knit on the bias. Dropped stitches. PFP… blargh#$@*^!!…”

For those of you that have been wondering: The long side on the left now measures about 48 inches. We need to knit until that is 55 or so inches and then we can decrease for the 4th corner.

Hopefully that will be VERY soon.

Because it is crafty progress day and I know you’re just *dying* for a progress picture…

Had a headache yesterday, but cleared it up enough to get to go knit in public with Katie last night. At least 3 random strangers noticed. Yay, knitting!

Well I didn’t feel good yesterday, but I stuck it out like a good knathlete should!

In true Olympic fashion, Olympic coverage has bumped our regularly scheduled programming from the schedule. But part of that is because I’m so busy knitting that I don’t have any weekly links for Internet Wealth day. Since I feel bad though, I’ll go ahead and edit some in if I find some.
