Sunday knitting

Sunday, May 7th, 2006

(Check for more SPS posts.)

I feel a little lost today, with nothing quite *pressing* to do. So I’ve spent my waking hours sitting next to Justin (who has been playing Oblivion tirelessly) knitting on a sock.

And as a bonus, here is a shot of some pretties found at Gourmet Yarn last night.

As well as a shot of Shelly’s ziploc-ed center-pull ball, as discussed in CraftBorg, Episode Two.

YAAY, thank you sock-pal!

So my SockapalOOOza gift socks came in the mail today. Heee, shortly after I posted my first finished Oliver sock back when, I recieved an email from rosemarysockpal who was in a bit of a panic. Apparently I just maybe might have bought the same yarn that sockpal was using for the socks she was making me.

Of course I wasn’t going to say no to more Gryffindor socks. Heck no! And they fit great.

My sockpal is Amber (no blog?!) and I got a postcard from the American Textile History Museum in MA. Thank you muchly, and I hope to get to know ya!

hrm.

I keep feeling like I ought to be posting in my blog more. The problem is, I don’t know what to write about.

I suppose I could write about the fabulous book, Mason*Dixon Knitting, that Julie had signed for me. It’s good.

I might mention that after tonight I am not allowed to be lazy for about a week, owing to the fact that we’re back to working on Fangirlin‘ this weekend and CraftBorg at the end of the weekend.

Or I could mention my excitement that the noisy construction guys out front have finally started pouring concrete slabs.

I suppose I could say, “Yay, I’ve stitched on Fortunate Traveler 2 nights in a row!” (Soon to be 3, I hope.)

Yeah, yeah, not much progress. I have slow nights sometimes…

Perhaps I could talk about my desire to own a button maker. Currently searching for an affordable option.

Maybe I should express my relief that my Sockapaloooza socks have made it to their destination, and that Manda apparently likes them.

Or gush because Justin has been scrapping again!

And of course, it wouldn’t hurt to point out how cute my kitties are.

Callie refrained from posing for photos; She’s a little under the weather.

I could definately shout, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANGIE!!” Ya geezer.

Tonight, knitting at SWAK.

I have to, because everyone else is.

Trying to keep it simple this week, but I thought I’d post pics of what I have.

Pomatomus sock, Peacock Feathers Shawl

I am happy to say that last night I brought Fortunate Traveler out again. It had been months. I think I will attempt to work on only him during “couch time” until I have gotten a good chunk stitched in. Almost all the gold pictured in what will be the “stretch” dragon is what I did last night. Doesn’t look like much, huh?

We’re off to Stillwater and the Cat Clinic to continue our investigation as to what is making my sweet Callie all itchy and unhappy. Justin is coming too and you know what that means? Car-knitting time!

Enough about you…
