typing from my hotel room

You know what I like least about staying in a hotel?

It’s not the strange-place factor, nor the fact that all they had left was a smoking room due to a Biker’s rally coming up. It’s not the teeny tiny trash cans nor the lack of refridgerator. I can deal with the kids’ cabin fever and I don’t really mind the saggy mattresses. No biggie, really.

I just loathe the way housekeeping tucks the top sheet and blankets in so tight that I can’t feel anything from my neck down. And when I bust a gut to finally get them untucked, the fitted sheet pops off the mattress. I simply cannot stand fitted sheets that wont stay on the mattress. GROWR. I’m a bit particular about my bedding.

Alright, I feel better having posted. And what’s a blog post without some pictures?

Does this mean I should stop tucking sheets in firmly or are you alone in this opinion? LOL

You’re lucky you got a fitted sheet at all. Many hotels use flat sheets on top and bottom to save money. (Not us, we use deep pocket sheets that stay on the mattress.)

    The park looks fun!

It can always be worse. You could find a strange pair of undies all bunched in a wad at the foot of the bed after scrunching down under those tightly-tucked sheets… Eww.

I hate feeling like my toes don’t have enough room because of the sheets being tucked too tight. I feel your pain. LOL about you posting to my blog as your DH - too funny. I thought, wow - a male reader, huh. Hope you’re getting some knitting/stitching done on those lovely projects you brought with you.

Hey thanks for the help finding LJ :) Now I just need to get back in the routine of journaling/blogging!
I love the pics, Jamie and cian are growing up so fast and I cna’t wait to see you all sometime! I think I’m the opposite of you with the hotel sheets, I love being snug as a bug in a rug, and actually make my bed the way hotels do cause I like it so much…that is when I actually make it… :)Can’t stand the feel of most hotel sheets though.
