Ariann, finished.

Pattern: Ariann, by Bonne Marie Burns of ChicKnits
Yarn: Cascade 220 in Natural
Comments: I love the way this sweater looks, but I think its going to take awhile for me to get used to how it looks on me. What do you think?
I blocked her twice. On the first try I didn’t block very aggressively and my bosom didn’t exactly fit very well. The second time has afforded them some more room, thankfully!
The sad thing is that I totally intended my sleeves to be 3/4 length. I intentionally knit them an inch shorter than it called for, since my arms are short to begin with. I hoped they would hit just under my elbow (which is much less than 3/4 I admit). After the first block in which I stretched them no longer than they naturally lay, the sleeve length was about where it looks to be on the model. Then after block #2, well. Cascade tends to g-r-o-w when you soak it. I should have realized that from when I knit my HP scarf.
Ah well. Next time I knit this pattern, I will make the sleeves extra short and re-figure the decreases so that my waist looks great and the girls still fit.

The sweater looks great on you, truly! Every yarn is different and blocks differently, too. You’ll know better next time what changes to make and you’ll have two fabulous sweaters.

I think it looks great! And on you! It looks very rose-ish i think.

Although I will admit, I am dying to here how you are coming on your other project.

I think it’s GREAT. I can knit but I can’t actually make anything…if that makes sense. I stink at reading patterns and counting stitches. So I’m in awe of your abilities *bowing to the knitting goddess.*
