Jabberwocky
Posted on February 2nd, 2007 at 8:32 amBecause it takes much more brain power to post something thoughtful, poignant, and relevant, for the Bloggers’ (Silent) Poetry Reading I have chosen a small part of The Jabberwocky, by Lewis Carroll. I do happen to quite like it. I memorized it by accident many years ago.
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Definitely a poem which has been committed to memory as of several years ago.

My husband has it memorized, too. In fact, I think it’s the only poem he actually likes. :)
