summer knitting in progress
Posted on June 19th, 2007 at 2:07 pmI noticed a moment ago that I haven’t updated on my knitting since I finished Parvati. When I finished them, I was down to one sock on the needles and THAT’S IT. Crazy stuff. Here’s that sock now:
I’ve not finalized my name for this pair, but I have distinct leanings. Simple 2×2 rib sock with Scout’s Death Eaters sock yarn.
With the Summer heat terrorizing me, I was inspired to go ahead and knit up some of my summery yarn stash. Here’s Calla, in Knit Picks’ CotLin.
I’ve changed it up a bit and I hope to crank this one out fairly quick so I can actually wear it this season.

I did Calla last year (http://castingaway.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html) and really love it. I think the only thing I need to do is shorten the straps a little. Anyway, can’t wait to see how yours comes out. Love the color!

Love the death eater yarn! :)
I found the link to the cute little crochet birds from your ravelry page and fell in love! I re-taught myself to crochet last night and already have two little birdies sitting on my windowsill. I’m grateful to you for the new obsession! ;)

I thought of you Rose when the Head of School told me that wool socks would be really useful while I am sailing……of course there are no such things as wool socks in the summer.

Love that Death Eater yarn! I just posted a photo of my first cable - I’m so excited! Love that color you’re using, it is going to be beautiful!

The Death Eater socks are such a HP color way. They look like something you would expect Molly to knit for Fred and George. And I think they would wear them.
