the state of my socks

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

I’m totally backlogged on blog topics, so I thought I’d combine my SPS with the topic of my sock knitting.

Here I am with my socks in progress. Socks that I had not blogged about yet.

Here’s Parvati, a combo of some Socks that Rock that have been in the stash for ages and Cookie A’s Gothic Spire pattern.

Here’s a yet-unnamed, plain ribbed sock. Scout’s Swag Death Eaters yarn. I started this so I’d have something completely mindless when I need it.

Because it is fun and I told Julie I’d take some, here are pics of my sock yarn stash as it stands. I can’t seem to make all this yarn go away! (If you click through the pictures, you can see my notes on what yarn is what on Flickr.)

Tomorrow: Recital, or Kitten, or Phoenix Rising, or some such thing that I need to post about.

Just got back from this morning’s stage rehearsal. Recital’s at 7.

Jamie’s excited. I’m already beat. See you tomorrow, if I wake before Monday.

a late response

As of this morning I have been tagged not once, but twice for the 7 things thingie. Sorry it took so long Heather, and thanks to Amy for nudging me as well. (ACK, and Kim too. Make that three times.)

The rules are:
Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those who are tagged need to write on their own blog those 7 facts as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven other people and list their names on your blog. Then you leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog.

I’m bad at these, so I have left this window open and if I think of something I add it.
1. My kitten is growing up too fast. I am pouting.

2. I signed my oldest hobbit up for kindergarten today.

3. I’m touchy about my age. Yes I’m young, but that doesn’t give you the license to assume that you’re life has been harder than mine or that I’m “lucky” or that my body is in better shape than yours.

4. I don’t like to call anyone my best friend because I have a history of doing so only to have them hit the road. Sometimes turning nasty on the way. I have, however, riskily called Justin my best friend. Nowadays he’s simply my favorite person/bowtruckle/Muggle.

5. I really would love it if I could have some regular quiet time.

6. I just played with scrapbook stickers for the 2nd time in 2 days. This, after many months of non-activity in the papercrafting realm.

7. I am so. ready. for a nap. But I will gladly take some coffee instead.

I shall now refrain from tagging people. I’m a rulebreaker.
